How to Take Advantage of Tournament Blackjack

The time has come for you to step up your blackjack game, if you are a regular blackjack player. It is time to take advantage of tournament blackjack.

Blackjack, as we all know, is a game with a high house edge. So, for that reason, casino’s encourage players to make the “most of” their money. The way you can take advantage of tournament blackjack is to reduce the house edge. That is, you can increase your odds of winning, while the house edge remains the same.

By using a solid blackjack strategy, you can actually remove the house edge. You can actually become a better player, while at the same time increasing the odds in your favor.

You might ask, “What does it mean to remove the house edge?”

Essentially, it means two things. First, you will be taking more money from the casino. However, the casino understands the edge and has strategies in place to make you lose. They do this in a variety of ways, such as making it more difficult to bust (beat the dealer) by dealing cards that have the same value, or by making it more difficult to win byorses.

The second part of the equation, while needing to be a bit complicated, is equally important. You must have enough money left over to ride out any losing streak that may come your way. In the long term, the odds are with you. This is because, unlike the casino, you have the possibility of making your own decisions (based on mathematical probability) on your bets.

Please note, that it is not a problem to use basic kartupoker strategy when taking part in tournaments. Your strategy is no different than it is in normal single deck games. What is important is that you are following a solid blackjack tournament strategy, and that you are able to deal with all the ups and downs that any casino can throw at you.

There are many “tournament strategy” systems out there. Many of them are good, but if you want to take your blackjack tournament strategy to the next level, you need to start looking at tournament blackjack strategy as more than just a set of rules. Blackjack is the only casino game in which you can play both “correct” and “incorrect” play, and playing tournament blackjack is the only casino game in which you can consistently win money.

Step 1: Picking the Stage of the Game.

In the early stage of a tournament, your goal is NOT to get as close to 21 as possible. Instead, you should keep betting on hands that have a higher probability of hitting 20 or 21. This is because the dealer has less of a chance to bust because there are still so many decks of cards in the deck. The dealer must hit to continue and has little chance of busting.

For example, if you have the opportunity to pick up two cards for a total of 14 against the dealer’s two cards for a total of 14 with what you would count as 20 or 21, bet the higher probability of busting. If you have AK and the flop is Qh, Jh, 9s. If you and the dealer both have 15 or 16, a tough decision lies ahead. But if you have 14 or 15 against the dealer’s three cards, go for it.

Step 2: Basing the Odds.

In the early stage, you don’t want to bet more than 5% of your stack on the house pre-flop and on the flop because high stakes will await you on the turn. We are looking for hands that have a very good probability of beating the dealer’s high cards. Here is a new addition to your blackjack card counting mad skills; the high cards favor the player. Since the high cards are more numerous in the deck, the odds favor the player.
